Hivesville Country Markets
The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at Memorial Park (opposite the Hivesville Hotel in Main Street) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Hivesville Devonshire Teas
Hivesville's QCWA are celebrating their 101st birthday this year, and the branch will be opening the doors at their rooms in Main Street from 7:00am to noon this morning to offer visitors Devonshire Teas and boutique-style coffee plus plants, crafts and general bric-a-brac items - the perfect complement to the Hivesville Markets just across the road. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a delicious morning tea and/or browse for a bargain.
Bunya Mountains Markets
The monthly Bunya Mountains Markets will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally-produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafes like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Cafe will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas, and walking trail maps will be available from both cafes, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a walk through the adjoining National Park. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Kilkivan Railway Markets
The monthly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. The markets run on the last Sunday of every month and always feature an array of locally produced fruit, vegetables and merchandise. New stallholders are always welcome, too! More details? Sunday Afternoon Poker - Kingaroy

Songs From America - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Singers will be presenting their latest concert - "Songs From America" - at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 2:00pm this afternoon (concert starts at 2:30pm sharp). The concert will feature a wide range of songs covering jazz, musicals, folk,. Jamaican, spirituals and rock & roll numbers - and well-known South Burnett entertainer Jeff Hancox will be a special guest performer. Tickets are $20 for adults or $15 for concessions and they can be booked online or obtained at the door.
Adam Maslen Meet & Greet - Nanango
One Nation's candidate for Nanango Adam Maslen will be holding a Meet & Greet At Lions Park in Nanango from 8:30am to 10:30am this morning. Everyone is welcome to come along and ask him questions about the party, its policies, why he believes he's a better candidate for the state seat of Nanango than incumbent MP Deb Frecklington and what (and how) he'd do better if elected.
Business Collaboration Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Business & Development Association (MBDA) will be holding an informal business collaboration meeting at the Queensland Dairy and Heritage Museum at 2 Gesslers Road in Murgon from 4:30pm onwards this afternoon. Guests can enjoy a guided tour around the museum, followed by a BBQ with local business updates and fun networking for just $15 per head. There's no admission and guests are welcome to stroll down to the club for a light lunch, a game of pool or darts, or just a chat at the bar to round out the day.
Sunday Roast Lunch - Wondai
Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai (opposite the Wondai Regional Art Gallery) will be hosting a $20 per head BYO Sunday roast lunch from 12:00 noon today featuring roast lamb and vegetables (ie roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, cauliflower in cheese sauce, carrots and peas) followed by individual pavlova, tea and coffee and - yes! - no washing up afterwards. Lord Of The Rings - Kingaroy
South Burnett gaming busdiness Gamez Knight will be running an extended screening of "Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring" at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy this morning. Doors will open at 9:30am for a 10:00am start. Guests are encouraged to dress up as Lord Of The Rings characters, and when the movie ends around 1:30pm there'll be judging and prize-giving for the best costumes. Tickets to take part in this event are $20 per head and food and drink will be available for sale as well. You can book tickets online or purchase them at the door.
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
