South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Printing Demonstration - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery's Winter Craft Festival will be running throughout June and July, and today artist Fran van Vegchel will be demonstrating the art of printing from 10:00am to 1:00pm to complement the two-month show. The Gallery is located in Haly Street, Kingaroy (opposite the peanut silos) and there's no fee to view this year's Winter Craft Exhibition or Fran's paper making demonstration.
Line Dancing - Yarraman
Weekly line dancing classes will be held the Community Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman from 9:00am to noon this morning. Class fees are $5 and everyone is welcome. More details? Phone 0422-889-530.
Kingaroy RSL Bingo

Social Cards - Nanango

Friday Social Golf - Proston
The Proston Golf Club on Brigooda Road, Proston will be holding a Friday afternoon social golf game today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and everyone is welcome. SBRC General Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its June General Meeting at the Warren Truss Chambers inside its Glendon Street offices in Kingaroy from 9:00am this morning. Interested people can view the meeting via a livestream on the Council's website.
Friday Croquet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) from 9:00am to around 11:30am this morning. Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. Friday Night Football - Kingaroy
The local senior soccer competition will resume at Tom Alford Oval at the end of Oliver Bond Street in Kingaroy this evening after a multi-week break to allow the grounds to dry out from May's storms. In the women's division, Kingaroy Wests will take on Kingaroy Easts at 6:15pm, and they'll be followed by a men's division clash between Kingaroy Wests and Kingaroy Easts at 7:45pm. A canteen will be operating and spectators are very welcome.
Claude The Lawnmower Man - Yarraman
Claude Harvey, who pushes a lawnmower around the towns of Australia to raise funds for Bravehearts, will be visiting Yarraman today as part of a four-day stroll through the South Burnett. Anyone is welcome to come talk with him, or you can interact with Claude through his Facebook page.
Musical Afternoon - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting a Musical Afternoon at the Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy from 1:00pm to 3:00pm today. The get-together will feature popular South Burnett entertainers Aunty Lillian Gray and Rocko Langton, and they'll be singing all the songs you love to hear. Cuppa And Chat Group
Kingaroy's Cuppa and Chat Group will be holding its weekly meeting at The Biscuit Tin behind St Mary's Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 11:00am today. As the name suggests, members enjoy a cuppa and biscuits baked in the community kitchen, and simply chat about whatever interests them. More details? Winter Vax Bus - Wondai and Yarraman
Queensland Health's Winter Vax Bus will be visiting the South Burnett today to deliver COVID Pfizer vaccines for children and adults, Novavax vaccines for adults, and influenza vaccines for both adults and children. All vaccines are free, walk-ins are accepted and no Medicare card is required. You can find out today's vaccine bus time and location by phoning 1300-117-792.
Andrew Beckett - Nanango

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
