December 19, 2022

A bunch of local families will enjoy a better Christmas thanks to the generosity of South Burnett residents and businesses.

The final touches were being put in place on Monday to 120 hampers which will be distributed this week by South Burnett CTC and Eva’s Place.

Donations for the 2022 Christmas Food Drive have been collected over the past few weeks at multiple locations around Kingaroy, including Bill Hull Car Centre, Kingaroy Shoppingworld and SupaIGA.

Donations included non-perishable foodstuffs, Christmas food items, vouchers, baby goods and toiletries.

This is the fifth year the Christmas Food Drive has been organised by the Bill Hull Car Centre, South Burnett CTC and police.

The donations have been sorted by CTC staff over the past few days at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre to make sure all donations were suitable and food items were within their use-by dates.

A job well done … the hampers all packed up and ready for distribution on Tuesday (Photo: BHCC)
