The annual BaconFest festival this weekend means several streets in Kingaroy will be closed.
South Burnett Regional Council says the following road closures will take place from 5:00pm on Friday (August 23) to 5:00pm on Sunday (August 25):
- Circular Place (the Glendon Street carpark) – closed to all traffic
- Glendon Street – closed between Alford and Haly streets with access remaining to the Commercial Hotel drive-thru bottle shop
- Access to the laneway south of the Kingaroy Town Library
- Car park at the rear of the Kingaroy Town Hall
“We apologise for any inconvenience that these closures may cause, and thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation during this period to ensure the event is a successful one for our region,” chief executive officer Mark Pitt said.
