The Red Ant Round-Up – a rural medical conference organised every two years – will be returning to Kingaroy in March.

The event usually attracts more than a hundred medical specialists and allied health professionals to town.

It was last held in Kingaroy in 2017 and on that occasion 140 delegates gathered at the Kingaroy Town Hall on the Saturday night for the conference dinner.

This year’s event will open at 9:00am on March 9 at the TAFE campus in Geritz Road and finish at 5:00pm on March 10.

Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network (PHN) is hosting the conference in partnership with General Practice Training Queensland (GPTQ) and the Kingaroy GP Chapter Network.

The theme will be “A Country Practice – Everybody’s Business”.

The event is targeted at GPs, allied health professionals, hospital doctors, registrars, medical students, allied health students and service providers.

The Conference Dinner will be held on the Saturday evening with guest speaker April Armstrong, the founder and director of Business for Doctors.
