The public notification period for the proposed workers’ camp near Kingaroy Airport opened on Friday (July 17).

The temporary accommodation facility, if approved, would house workers employed during the construction of the Tarong West wind farm near Ironpot.

Submissions, either for or against the development, must be lodged with the South Burnett Regional Council before August 7, 2026.

A block of cleared land adjacent to Warren Truss Drive in the Kingaroy Airport precinct has been proposed for the work camp
