The South Burnett Regional Council announced on Thursday its gravel resheeting program in western parts of the region will face a short interruption.

The council said it plans to undertake gravel resheeting on Glencoe Road and Coverty Road at Coverty, and TH Burns Road at Ballogie.

Glencoe Road is now complete, and a portion of Coverty Road is also complete.

However the construction crew who have been working on these roads are now undertaking maintenance on other roads in the network.

A Council spokesperson said the crews will return to complete the work on Coverty Road and TH Burns Road in approximately three months.

Residents who’d like additional information about the gravel resheeting project should contact Council’s Customer Service Centres on (07) 4189-9100.

Council work crews were called to Scott Street in Wondai on Thursday morning to tackle a burst water main.

The burst main – and repairs to it – led to temporary water service disruptions in Baynes, Cadell, South, Kent, Pring, Smith, Hanley, Bramston and Bailey streets, Old Wondai Road, Grant Crescent and surrounding streets.

Council workers took about 90 minutes to restore services.
