Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington says a future LNP Government would provide $50,000 to the Emergency Department at Kingaroy Hospital to buy much-needed equipment.

She said a priority would be to buy a portable ultrasound machine.

“Our Emergency Department team at the Kingaroy Hospital do an amazing job under very difficult, cramped conditions,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“The portable ultrasound machine they are currently using is old and dated. They need a new machine urgently.

“This is a piece of equipment which is used on a daily basis to help doctors quickly assess and diagnose what has happened to patients needing emergency treatment.

“We need a new portable ultrasound machine at the Kingaroy Hospital and if the LNP is elected to Government, I will ensure this happens straight away.

“This project is part of the LNP’s plan to improve health outcomes in regional Queensland.”
