A new footpath to be built in November will connect the Proston Community Hall to the QCWA Rooms and the public toilets in Rodney Street

October 26, 2017

The South Burnett Regional Council will start building a new concrete footpath along the western side of Rodney Street in Proston next month.

The new footpath will connect the Proston Community Hall to the public toilets in Railway Park.

This project includes removing the existing footpath at the toilets and replacing it with a new, full width concrete footpath to eliminate ongoing safety and maintenance concerns in the area.

Work will start on Monday, November 6 and should be completed in late November, weather permitting.

During construction, signage will be in place to provide a safe work environment and pedestrians will be diverted past the works with moderate disruption anticipated.

Works may impact the access to the public toilets and the Country Women’s Association Hall when works are in those locations.

When access to the CWA Hall is affected, the onsite supervisor will contact a hall representative in advance.

Any local residents with concerns during the construction period should contact the onsite supervisor, or Council’s Customer Service Centres on (07) 4189-9100.
