Member for Maranoa David Littleproud will be this year’s guest speaker at the Mayor’s Christmas Luncheon at Kingaroy Town Hall

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud will be the guest speaker at the annual Mayor’s Christmas Luncheon which will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on December 16.

Funds raised at the lunch will be go towards food vouchers from SupaIGA which will be distributed to struggling local families.

Live music at the lunch will be provided by the South Burnett Chorale and the MISfITZ, while the QCWA will once again be preparing the two-course meal.

“There are many families that struggle during the Christmas period and this luncheon is our way to help support our community during this time,” South Burnett mayor Keith Campbell said.

Mayor Campbell said he would like to acknowledge and thank Kingaroy SupaIGA, the QCWA, Jamaica Blue, Flamingo Wish, Nichols Printing, South Burnett Times, southburnett.com.au, CROW FM, Wayne’s World, BGA AgriServices Kingaroy, TASTE South Burnett, Heartfelt Flowers, Big W, South Burnett Chorale and the MISfITZ for their support.

“We would be unable to hold this luncheon if it wasn’t for the generosity of this year’s sponsors,” he said.

Tickets are $25 a head (or $200 for a table of eight) and can be bought at the Council Customer Service Centres in Blackbutt, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon or by calling (07) 4189-9100.
