Kingaroy police have warned motorists there will be extra patrols on South Burnett roads over the Easter break.

Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Johannesen, from Kingaroy Police, said extra uniformed police had been rostered on at local stations to conduct road patrols.

This would be in addition to traffic units from the Dalby Policing Unit.

Police would be concentrating on the Fatal Five: speeding, drink and drug driving, distraction, not wearing a seatbelt, inattention and fatigue.
