Hazeldean Road in South Nanango will be getting a makeover during the next eight weeks.

The South Burnett Regional Council has advised it will undertaking roadworks over a 2.8km section of the road from the Nanango Tarong Road intersection from today until early February 2016.

The work is being funded by the Federal Government’s Roads To Recovery program, and was announced in the Council’s 2015-2016 Budget.

The project includes widening the bitumen seal to provide a two lane sealed surface over an existing crest.

It will involve clearing, earthworks, drainage, gravel pavement, bitumen sealing, line marking and signage.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic controllers or by traffic lights during construction, and minor delays are anticipated.

Residents with concerns during the construction period can contact the onsite supervisor, or phone the Council’s Customer Service Centre on (07) 4189-9100.
