South Burnett councillors Ros Heit and Damien Tessmann recently inspected repairs to a number of floodways in Division 6.
Cr Tessmann said he was pleased to see so many flood repairs being completed although there were still a lot more to do.
Cr Heit said it was great that some of the floodways and bridges that were getting attention were in the more distant areas of the South Burnett region.
“A number of residents have been frustrated with the time taken for these repairs to be done but due process needs to be followed to ensure the resulting structures are funded appropriately and constructed well to hopefully last a long time,” she said.
