The South Burnett Regional Council formally adopted its 2012-13 Annual Report at its December meeting and it is now available to download from council’s website.
The Annual Report contains information about the Council’s activities over the 2012-13 financial year, and also contains the year’s financial statements.
All councils are required by law to prepare an annual report soon after the close of each financial year.
The report is then sent to the Department Of Local Government and Planning to ensure it meets the standards set down for these documents.
This auditing process takes several months, after which Councils are then required to adopt the Annual Report and release it to the public.
Hard copies of the Annual Report will be available at the Council’s Customer Service Centres for a fee to cover printing costs, but the PDF version is free.
