South Burnett Regional Council has advised residents that kerb and channel work began today in Cooper and Nutt streets, Murgon.
The roadwork is expected to take about five weeks to complete, weather permitting.
During construction, the work area will be required to be a one-direction traffic flow and a detour will be in place.
Council has asked for patience and co-operation while the work is completed.
