Nominations for the South Burnett’s annual Australia Day awards close on December 2 … but it seems everyone is leaving it (again) to the last minute.

The awards acknowledge and reward outstanding groups or individuals for their contribution to improving the South Burnett.

It is an opportunity for clubs, associations and individuals to thank someone who has really made a difference.

The awards will be presented at the regional awards ceremony on the eve of Australia Day – Saturday, January 25 – at the Wondai Town Hall.

Award categories are for:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year

  • Cultural Award (Junior)
  • Cultural Award (Senior)
  • Local Achievement Award (Town & Rural)
