“Powder monkeys” have been called in to help remove several large rocks which are in the way at roadworks on the Memerambi-Barkers Creek Road.
The blasting will occur on Wednesday (October 2) about 15.6km west of Memerambi.
A South Burnett Regional Council spokesman said today traffic on the road would be controlled during the blasting procedure.
Memerambi-Barkers Creek Road may be closed for up 30 minutes after the event.
The blasting, which is part of a road realignment project, is expected to occur between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
