The Electoral Commission of Queensland confirmed today that the by-election for Division 6 of the South Burnett Regional Council will be pushed back a week due to the Federal Election.
The postal ballot, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Cheryl Dalton, was to have been held on September 7.
It will now go ahead on September 14.
The Electoral Commission will post ballot slips to all eligible voters within the Division.
They must be returned by September 24.
The rest of the timetable for the election remains unchanged, ie. the electoral roll for Division 6 voters closed at 5:00pm on Friday, August 2.
Nominations for the vacant position will still close at noon this Friday, August 9.
