Public Meeting - Blackbutt
- The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a public meeting at the Blackbutt Comunity Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt at 6:30pm this evening to advise residents about progress on the SBRC's plan to get a modern suipermarket built in the town. Blackbutt is the only major South Burnett town which doesn't have a supermarket, and the SBRC recently called for expressions of interest from developers to build one. The meeting will also inform residents about kerbing and drainage work that the Council will soon be undertaking in the town, and try to gauge the community's views about erecting a statue in honour of international tennis star Roy Emerson, who grew up in Blackbutt. Everyone is welcome.
Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. The group have a welcoming, inclusive and fun approach to singing and meet every Monday except for school and public holidays. Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
- Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp).
