South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Yellowbelly Fishing Competition - Lake Boondooma
The 34th annual Boondooma Dam Yellowbelly Fishing Competition will be held at Boondooma Dam near Proston all this weekend, commencing at 5:00am on Saturday and concluding around lunchtime today. The family-friendly event - organised by the Boondooma Dam Fish Stocking Association - will have heaps of prizes for each weigh-in period. Food and drink stalls will be operating for the duration (BYO alcohol). Accommodation is available at the adjoining Lake Boondooma Tourist Park. All competitors will need to have a Stocked Impoundment Permit to take part. NB. There are no pre-nominations this year. Murgon Sunday Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 7:00am until about 12:00 noon today. The markets run on the second Sunday of each month and offer locally made crafts, foods and produce - always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stallholders are always welcome too! More details? Motors & Mochas - Kingaroy
A Motors & Mochas morning will be held at the Kingaroy Machinery Club's grounds in Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 9:00am to around 11:00am this morning. People who'd like to take part should bring along a car, motorcycle or other vehicle they're particularly proud of, then grab a cuppa and appreciate the diverse range of motors on show. Spectators can also do the same (but without a vehicle). The get-together is free and everyone is welcome!
NRL HOGS Community Clinic – Kingaroy
The NRL HOGS National Tour will be at Kingaroy's T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street from 3:00pm-4:00pm today. Meet Brad Fittler, Petero Civonicera, Ben Hannant but registrations are essential for the free clinic. There'll be skills and drills for five-year-olds to 14-year-olds; plus a free community barbecue from 4:00pm! More information is available online
Sunday Sesh With David Lynch - Nanango

Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Proston Khanacross
Proston Car Rally Club will be holding Day 2 of their weekend-long Proston Khanacross at their race track today (the club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road). Racing will start at 10:00am. Competitors come from all over Queensland and spectators are very welcome. There'll also be a food van on site. Showers are available with free camping. Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
