Goodchild Shield Grand Final - Murgon
The South Burnett Bush Pigs will be taking on Bundaberg in the Grand Final of the prestigious Goodchild Shield senior cricket competition today at Murgon Showgrounds. South Burnett have gone through this Wide Bay representative competition undefeated and will be going into the game as favourites. Play is scheduled to get under way at 9:00am.
Bunya Mountains Markets
- The Bunya Mountains Markets, held on the last Sunday of every month, will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafés like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Café will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. Walking trail maps will be available from both cafés, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a stroll through the adjoining National Park. More details? Burrandowan Campdraft
The third and final day of the three-day annual Burrandowan Campdraft will be held at the Chahpingah Reserve on Burra Burri Road, about 60km south-west of Kingaroy, from early this morning until around sunset. Today's action will include Junior and Juvenile events, the finals of the Maiden and Maiden 4 Maiden competitions and the Restricted Open final. The campdraft is a fundraiser for the Burrandowan Picnic Races in May. Wondai Community Share
- The monthly Wondai Community Share will be held at the Wondai Lions Den opposite Dingo Park on the Bunya Highway at Wondai from 9:00am this morning. Guests at this free get-together can bring along any excess fruit, vegetables, baked goods or other household items they have to swap with others for things they may need, or simply to give them away. Everyone is welcome!
Hivesville Country Markets
The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at Memorial Park (opposite the Hivesville Hotel in Main Street) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Hivesville Devonshire Teas
- Hivesville's QCWA will be opening the doors at their rooms at 12 Main Street from 6:00am to 11:00am this morning to offer visitors Devonshire tea, coffee plus cakes. This is the perfect complement to the Hivesville Markets just across the road! Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a delicious morning tea.
Sunday Sesh With MISfITZ Duo - Nanango

Community Pickleball - Woolooga
- Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Tag-Along Tour - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt and District Tourism and Heritage Association will be running a Tag-Along Tour from 7:45am today. Guests should meet up at the Roy Emerson Museum in Bowman Road, Blackbutt, from where they'll proceed to explore parts of the Brisbane Valley, visiting the Brisbane Valley Roasters, Wivehoe Dam Spillway Common, Splityard Dam and old cemeteries at Wivenhoe Pocket and Bryden. Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
- A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
