South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
South Burnett Speedway - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Speedway will roar into life at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy tonight with a special Sprintcar Spectacular featuring Sprintcars, 360-LS Sprintcars, Wingless Sprints, the Garage 95 Formula 500s Shootout and JNA Formula 500s. There'll be canteen facilities operating onsite, and campsites are available in the Showgrounds if you want to stay over. Gates will open at 2:00pm, racing will start at 4:00pm and the excitement will continue until around 10:30pm tonight. Admission is $30 for adults, $20 for students (with ID) and aged or disability pensioners or $85 for a family of two adults and two students (children 12 and under are free). Everyone is welcome!
ABBA Girls Tribute Show
The QCWA Kumbia Branch is hosting a special ABBA Tribute show from 7:00pm to 10:00pm tonight at the Kumbia Memorial Hall in Bell Street. Add to the occasion by wearing ABBA-themed attire for the chance to win prizes! Cost is $30 for adults or $20 for pensioners and children aged 6-14 years inclusive (includes a light supper). Moore Hall Markets
The monthly Moore Markets will be held in the Moore Soldiers Memorial Hall off the D'Aguilar Highway in Moore from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon today. The markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month and feature crafts, toys, bric-a-brac, clothes and collectibles. Food and drinks will also be available for sale. Everyone is welcome!
Back To Basics Music Muster - Proston
The fourth day of the five-day Back To Basics Music Muster will be held at 1385 Proston-Boondooma Road (13km west of Proston) today. The Muster will feature performances from Alice Benfer, Rob Breese, Jeff Brown, John Lynch, Trudy & Ged Hintz, Brian Howard, Reece Blinman, Allan Gumm and Ashley Cook plus extra guest artists, walk-up acts and bush poetry. There's free bush camping on site and toilets (but no showers) and campfires are allowed. A canteen will be operating plus a coffee van but guests should BYO seating and liquid refreshments. Tickets are $40 per head per day or $95 for a five-day pass (under 16s free) but must be booked in advance. Tickets can ordered by phoning the organisers on 0412-884-482 or booked online.
Kingaroy Friendship Markets
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around noon today. The markets feature a range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome.
Murgon Music Jam
A free music jam for everyone - with talent or not! - will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm today at the Uniting Church Hall, 55 Gore Street, Murgon. The free afternoon for music lovers is held on the third Saturday of every month. More info? Phone Doug on 0466-974-483.
Local Garden Swap Meet - Brooklands

Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Proston Community Markets
The monthly Proston Community Markets - organised by the Proston QCWA will be running outside the QCWA Rooms at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston from 7:00am to around noon this morning. The markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month on behalf of the Proston Show Society. Stalls feature everything from craftwork to baked goods and bric-a-brac are are always fun to browse. Wooroolin Line Dancers
The Wooroolin Line Dancers will be holding line dancing classes for beginners and intermediate dancers at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 9:00am to 10:00am this morning (for beginners) and 10:00am to 12:30pm (intermediate). Course fees are $10 for intermediate (morning tea included) or $5 for beginners. BYO mug. Everyone is welcome.

Come & Try Cutting Day - Murgon
The South Burnett Quarter Horse Cutters association will be hosting a come and try / practice day from 8:00am today at the Murgon Showgrounds. For more information, email the association.
Saturday Morning Tennis - Blackbutt
