South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Back To Basics Music Muster - Proston
The fifth (and final) day of the five-day Back To Basics Music Muster will be held at 1385 Proston-Boondooma Road (13km west of Proston) today. The Muster will feature performances from Alice Benfer, Rob Breese, Jeff Brown, John Lynch, Trudy & Ged Hintz, Brian Howard, Reece Blinman, Allan Gumm and Ashley Cook plus extra guest artists, walk-up acts and bush poetry. There's free bush camping on site and toilets (but no showers) and campfires are allowed. A canteen will be operating plus a coffee van but guests should BYO seating and liquid refreshments. Tickets are $40 per head per day or $95 for a five-day pass (under 16s free) but must be booked in advance. Tickets can ordered by phoning the organisers on 0412-884-482 or booked online.
Taromeo Country Music Club - Blackbutt
Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding a music practice from 10:00am to 2:00pm today at the Blackbutt Golf Club, 51 Langton Road, Blackbutt. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in (BYO instrument) or simply to listen! Lunch and drinks can be purchased at the club. The club meets every two months on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Ashton's Circus - Kingaroy
Ashton's Circus will be at the Kingaroy Showgrounds from February 7-16. Tickets can be booked online
South Burnett Community Share - Nanango
The monthly South Burnett Community Share will be held at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango at 9:00am (for a 9:30am start) this morning. Guests at this free get-together, held on third Sunday of every month, can bring along any excess fruit, vegetables or other household items they have to swap with others for things they may need, or simply to give them away. Everyone is welcome!
Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held at Les Muller Park in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around noon today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and freshly harvested foodstuffs from more than 40 stallholders and everyone is welcome along! Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Sunday Roast Lunch - Wondai
Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai (opposite the Wondai Regional Art Gallery) will be hosting a $20 per head BYO Sunday roast lunch from 12:00 noon today featuring roast lamb and seasonal vegetables followed by individual tropical pavlova, tea and coffee and - yes! - no washing up afterwards. However, bookings are essential so Chef Graham can properly plan the catering. You can reserve your seat by phoning him on (07) 4168-5744.
Goomeri Community Share
The Goomeri Community Share Group meets on the third Sunday of every month from 8:45am at Lions Park (beside the windmill).
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
