
2025 Wondai Country Running Festival
The second (and final) day of the weekend-long, family friendly Wondai Country Running Festival will be held in and around Wondai's CBD and along the South Burnett Rail Trail this morning. The festival will kick off early at 6:30am with a full marathon, followed by a half-marathon at 7:00am, a 10km run at 7:30am and the Bowy Active 5km run at 7:45am, after which there'll be prize-givings for the day's winners.
Kilkivan Community Garden & Railway Markets
- The monthly Kilkivan Community Garden & Railway Markets - held on the last Sunday of the month (February to November) are on again from 7:00am this morning at 2a Bligh Street (opposite the hotel. For more information, or to book a stall, phone Deborah on 0448-749-727.
Bunya Mountains Markets
The Bunya Mountains Markets, held on the last Sunday of every month, will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafés like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Café will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. Walking trail maps will be available from both cafés, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a stroll through the adjoining National Park. More details? Clay Target Shoot - Kingaroy
- Day 2 of the Kingaroy Clay Target Club's annual two-day shoot at its range in Aerodrome Road, Kingaroy. There is a $17,000 prize pool up for grabs. Nominations for the two days are $170 (or $135 if competing in the Lady, Junior or Veterans events). Powered camping on-site is available for $10. Breakfast and lunch will be available to purchase today.
Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Community Pickleball - Woolooga
- Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
- A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
