Dead Cow Gully Ultramarathon - Nanango
The annual Dead Cow Gully Backyard Ultramarathon will be taking place on the Walsh family's cattle property at 675 Walsh Rd, Runnymede (11km north of Nanango) from 7:00am onwards today. Runners taking part in the event need to complete a 6.7km lap of the course every hour. The winner is the last person left standing. Spectators and supporters are very welcome, too. Free Garden Mulch - Kingaroy & Wondai
- South Burnett Regional Council has free garden mulch available today and tomorrow for collection. Bring your trailer or ute to the end of Stehbens Street, Kingaroy; or the end of Scott Street, Wondai the (old tip) from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Council provided a kerbside collection of tree limbs and debris after the storms that hit Wondai and Kingaroy in January, this has now been mulched and chipped.
Elegant Afternoon Tea - Murgon

Speedway Trophy Dinner - Kinharoy
- POSTPONED The South Burnett Speedway Club will be holding its annual trophy presentation dinner from 6:00pm tonight at the Kingaroy Bowls Club. Tickets are $45 for adults and $15 for children aged 12 and under for the two-course buffet dinner. As well as the presentations, there'll be music and a licensed bar. Music & Mayhem Trivia - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be hosting a fun trivia night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm this evening at St John's Lutheran School Hall, 92 Ivy Street, Kingaroy. Dress as your favourite musician or musical character for a chance to win the Best Dressed prize. There'll also be live music, including a preview of the next Chorale concert. Tickets are just $10 a head and can be booked online. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available to buy on the night (BYO snacks but no BYO alcohol).

Proston Country Market
The monthly Proston Community Markets - held on the 3rd Saturday of each month - will be running outside the QCWA Rooms at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston from 8:00am this morning. Stalls feature crafts, plants as well as gifts and bric-a-brac. There'll also be a raffle, sausage sizzle and hot and cold drinks. All stalls welcome!
Kids Rising Star Karaoke - Yarraman

Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Kingaroy Friendship Markets
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around noon today. The markets feature a range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome.
Junior Soccer - Nanango
- Round 7 of the South Burnett junior competition will be played at Alan Downie Sports Fields at Nanango with with games from Under 6s through to Cadets being played across multiple fields. The canteen will also be open selling food and drinks!
Saturday Rugby League - Kingaroy
Kingaroy Red Ants will be holding their annual Pink Day - a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation - at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, today. Junior rugby league games from Under 6s through to Under 12s will be played from 8:00am plus an Under 14s game at 1:00pm between Kingaroy and Murgon. Two A Grade games are scheduled: 2:30pm, Cherbourg v Murgon; and 4:00pm, Kingaroy v Wondai. There’ll also be lots of pink fun with face painting from 9:00am to noon, lolly bags and a bake sale as well as raffles. The licensed bar will open at 2:00pm.
Nanango Men's Shed
- The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango, will be open from 8:30am to around noon today for its regular Saturday get-together. Wheelchair Basketball - Murgon
South Burnett Wheelchair Basketball will be played today from 10:00am to noon at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon. All equipment is provided but participants must wear enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle. Wheelchair basketball is an all-abilities game and everyone is invited to come along and have a go!
