South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Bookarama - Kingaroy
St John's Lutheran School P&C will be holding the first day of their giant two-day Bookarama at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 8:00am to 4:00pm today. Bookarama offers tens of thousands of books on all subjects at genuine bargain prices, along with a "Happy Hour" from 3:00pm to 4:00pm where all books are half price. Proceeds of Bookarama go to help the school and if you love books, it's heaven on a stick. Everyone is welcome and admission is free! Note: Bookarama will also run tomorrow from 8:00am to noon.
Tableland Public Hall Centenary
Tableland Public Hall, at 459 Crownthorpe Road, Tablelands, will be celebrating its centenary this afternoon and evening. Doors will open at 3:00pm. There'll be historical displays as well as a food van and refreshments available. There'll also be music (walk-up performers most welcome!), dancing, stationary engines and the Goomeri Chrome Bumpers car club will be bringing along their vehicles. The Cherbourg SPAN group will be holding a community service and march in Cherbourg from 10:30am this morning. Gather at the Cherbourg Sports Complex, 6 Collins Road. Lunch and refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome.
Kingaroy Lions Club 60th Birthday

Mates4Mates Golf Day - Murgon
POSTPONED Murgon Golf Club will be holding a 9-hole 3-person Ambrose with a 1:00pm shotgun start today at the club's course on the Bunya Highway at Murgon. Cost is $25 per player, which include a complimentary BBQ lunch. There'll be prizes, novelty holes and a fancy dress prize. All funds raised will be donated to the ADF veterans' charity, Mates4Mates. The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today.
