Goomeri Show
The judging for the 2025 Goomeri Showgirl and Rural Ambassador will be held today at the showgrounds in Laird Street, Goomeri, followed by the Young Judges and Paraders competitions at 4:00pm. The bar and canteen will also be open from 4:00pm. The winners of the Showgirl and Rural Ambassador competitions will be announced at 5:00pm.
Youth Services Expo - Murgon
- RESCHEDULED from March 7 The 2025 Youth Services Expo will be held today at the Barambah Youth Services Hub in Gore Street, Murgon (next to Murgon State High School). The Expo will run from 10:00am to 1:30pm. There will be youth activities as well as representatives from various service providers on hand to touch base with students. Golden Spurs Campdraft - Proston
Day 1 of the three-day Proston Golden Spurs Campdraft will kick off at the Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road, west of the CBD, at 10:00am this morning. Today's action will feature Maiden events and the Maiden final. Spectators are welcome to come along and watch all the action for free. There'll also be limited refreshments in the grounds. Friday Night At The Shed
- The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
- Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays (except public holidays) but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Friday Social Golf & Dinner - Proston
