South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Bell Show & Rodeo
The first day of the weekend-long 67th annual Bell Show and Rodeo will be held at Bell Showgrounds on the corner of Wallace and Maxwell Streets in Bell from 8:00am this morning through until midnight. As well as all the usual fun of the fair, highlights today include the lolly drop for kids about 11:00am, a vintage machinery display, duck races, Lazer Skirmish and fireworks. The Bull Ride, with compere Larry Cann, will roar into action at 6:00pm. Admission to today's Show is $15 per head for adults - young people aged 15 and below are admitted free. NB. Entry to tomorrow's Bell Campdraft is free!
Garage Sale - Nanango
Nanango State School P&C will be hosting a fundraising garage sale and a bake sale from 8:30am to 11:00am today in the schoolgrounds in Drayton Street, Nanango. There'll also be school furniture and equipment. Cash and EFTPOS will be available.
Come & Try Day Gem & Rock Day - Wondai
The South Burnett Gem & Fossicking Club is holding a Come & Try Day for children at their clubhouse in the old railway building (behind the Wondai Art Gallery) from 9:00am to 11:00am today. Children aged 5-16 will be able to learn more about rock shaping and polishing, texturing metal, rock painting, metal stamping and wire wrapping.
Wooroolin Line Dancers Dinner Dance - Wondai
Wooroolin Line Dancers will be holding a dinner dance at the Wondai Diggers Club, in Mackenzie Street, from 7:00pm this evening.
Nanango Country Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to around 12:00 noon today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets, but they'll be operating in a COVID Safe way. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Kingaroy Men's Shed Opening
Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington will be officially opening the new Kingaroy Men's Shed Building, across from the old Motor Pool shed on Geoff Raph Drive near Kingaroy Airport, from 10:00am this morning. A morning tea will be served afterwards and everyone is welcome!
Ringsfield House Open Day - Nanango
Historic Ringsfield House, 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango, is hosting an Open Day today! Local artists will be featured in the art gallery from 9:00am to 12:30pm, plus tea and scones will be available on the verandah for $10.00 per person from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Women's Open Golf Day - Murgon
Murgon Golf Club is holding a Women's Open Day at the course on the Bunya Highway. There'll be a shotgun start at 9:00am. Nomination fee is $30 which includes morning tea and lunch. Text nominations by February 26 to 0422-556-164. Visitors are welcome!
