Mayor’s Community Benefit Fund Breakfast - Murgon
A fundraising breakfast for the Mayor’s Community Benefit Fund will be held at the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon from 6:30am to around 8:00am this morning. Former British professional tennis player Andrew Jarrett will be a special guest speaker, and he'll be talking about his experiences playing with some of the world's top tennis professionals. Tickets to the breakfast are $25 per head, and everyone is welcome along - but for catering purposes you'll need to RSVP Bronwyn Barry on (07) 4189-9155 or email her by November 12 to be certain of a seat. Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting
The Kingaroy Writers' Association will be meeting between 9:30am and 12:30pm this morning at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Alford and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy. Members meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to share their work with other members and take part in writing and word exercises. Membership is $5 per annum and meetings are $3 to cover tea, coffee and insurance (bring a plate for a shared morning tea experience). New members are always very welcome! More details? Proston Over 50s Club Meeting

Tuesday Night Karate - Nanango
Ko Tora Kai Karate Do will be running its regular Tuesday night karate classes at the CWA Hall in Fitzroy Street, Nanango (opposite Foodworks) from 6:00pm to 7:30pm this evening. A presentation of the "Mates4Mates" program - which assists current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who've suffered physical or psychological injuries or illnesses as a result of their service, either in Australia or overseas - will be held at the Kingaroy RSL club in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 4:00pm this afternoon.
