Blackbutt Lions Country Markets
- The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 6:30am until around mid-day today. Bus Trip To Caboolture Heritage Village
- The Murgon RSL Auxiliary will be running a special bus trip to the Caboolture Heritage Village today. The $38 fare includes coach transport there and back, entry to the Heritage Village, a delicious morning tea en route and a lucky seat prize. Lunch will be available at the Red Hall Cafe (on site) or you can bring your own, and there'll also be raffles with lots of prizes. The bus will leave Murgon and pick up passengers en route right through to Blackbutt, and eveyone is welcome (whether they're Murgon RSL Auxiliary members or not). More details and bookings? Murgon RC Club Fun Day - Murgon
- The Murgon RC Club for radio-controlled cars will be holding a Fun Day at their racetrack next to Angelfield Aerodrome at the end of Macalister Street, Murgon from 10:00am to 2:00pm today (drive w-a-y past the Showgrounds along the dirt road and through the gate marked "Private Property"). Competitors can race their cars around the circuit as much as they like, and there'll be a BBQ lunch and soft drinks available too. Spectators are more than welcome to come along for free, but to take part in the racing you'll need to be a PCYC member ($30 per year for an adult or $60 per family - you can join up on site today) and the fee for racing is $10. - The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Sunday afternoon Pot Luck Doubles darts competitions from 11:00am to 4:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $10 playing fee applies, but that includes a great BBQ lunch. - The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their final bi-monthly Sunday social for 2014 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:30am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists, including the Maroochy River Music Club. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing.
