Division 2 councillor Linda Little will take over the role of Deputy Mayor of the South Burnett Regional Council on April 4.
The appointment was confirmed at Wednesday’s general meeting of council.
Cr Heit will replace Division 6 councillor Ros Heit who has served as Deputy Mayor since August 3 last year.
The changes are in line with the eight-month rotational model decided at the start of the current Council term.
At the time, Mayor Kathy Duff said the rotation program was part of building a team which supported each other and worked together.
Cr Danita Potter and Cr Jane Erkens have also previously served in the role; yet to take a turn are Cr Deb Dennien and Cr Heath Sander.
An increase in salary accompanies the role of Deputy Mayor.
