A 30-year-old man has been charged following investigations into a fatal traffic crash at Widgee in May.
About 12:30am on May 15, police were called to Gympie-Woolooga Road, near Little Widgee Road, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.
The driver of a Holden Commodore, a 30-year-old Widgee man, was transported by ambulance to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition with head injuries.
The passenger, a 31-year-old Peregian Beach man, died at the scene.
The Widgee man was arrested yesterday and charged with manslaughter and drink-driving.
He was refused police bail and was due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
