South Burnett Relay For Life organisers have a big surprise planned for Spring, and will be announcing it at a special meeting this Thursday (August 31).
The meeting will be held at the GB Building inside Kingaroy Showgrounds, starting at 5:30pm.
Relay For Life president Rowena Dionysius said she’s hoping for a big roll-up.
“I’m very excited about a new thing we’ve planned for this year’s Relay, and I think most people will be when they hear what it is,” Rowena said.
“I’d like to see as many Relay team representatives and volunteers as possible at the meeting so we can spread the word about it really quickly.”
The GB Building is located near the Kingaroy Speedway entrance.
However this entrance will be closed on Thursday, so guests will need to use the Kingaroy Showgrounds Caravan Park entrance instead.
“Turn to the left at the entrance and look for a building with corrugated iron on the front,” Rowena said.
