The local Salvation Army Corps
is seeking blankets

April 20, 2016

You may have noticed that there’s a nip in the air starting to bite at night … and the local Salvation Army has noticed it, too.

The Salvation Army’s South Burnett Region Corps has launched a blanket drive ahead of winter.

Corps secretary Kylie Birch said winter can be the hardest time of the year for people who are struggling in our community.

“If you would like to donate a new blanket, doona or quilt, or if you have some at home that are in great condition but you don’t need them any more, please consider donating them to The Salvation Army,” Kylie said.

Blankets can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Church, 44 Alford Street, Kingaroy, on Tuesdays between 10:00am and 1:00pm.

Or if this time is not suitable, phone 0407-220-975 to make other arrangements.
