A memorial service will be held in Mundubbera on Friday for well-known local bookmaker and businessman Dan Whelan, husband of North Burnett Deputy Mayor Faye Whelan.
Mr Whelan, 68, died in hospital in Brisbane on Saturday (January 23).
The couple have three married children and seven grandchildren.
A celebration of Mr Whelan’s life will be held at the Mundubbera Town Hall on from 5:00pm on Friday, followed by interment in the Mundubbera Lawn Cemetery.
