Former Nanango mayor Reg McCallum … guest speaker on Friday at Nukku Nook

July 8, 2015

Former Nanango mayor Reg McCallum will be the guest speaker at Friday’s “Blackbutt History Morning” at Nukku Nook.

The morning, organised by the Blackbutt and District Tourism and Heritage Association, is an opportunity to hear Reg talk about the history of Blackbutt, and his journey as one of Australia’s longest-serving mayors.

Reg’s great-uncle Alex had the mail coach run from Linville to Nanango, and his grandfather, Pat, was the longest-serving postman in Queensland, delivering to Nanango and beyond by horse.

The history morning will get underway at 9:30am on Friday (July 10) at the association’s headquarters, Nukku Nook, which is located at the Blackbutt head of the rail trail.
