Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington was officially sworn in as Assistant Minister to the Premier yesterday afternoon at Government House in Brisbane.

Premier Campbell Newman and senior Cabinet Members, including Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney, Treasurer Tim Nicholls and Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie, attended the ceremony along with members of Mrs Frecklington’s family.

Also sworn in by Queensland Governor Ms Penelope Wensley, AC, were Lisa France (Member for Pumicestone) as Assistant Minister for Finance, Administration and Regulatory Reform; and Seath Holswich (Member for Pine Rivers) as Assistant Minister for Natural Resources and Mines.

Governor Wensley then hosted a reception in honour of three new Assistant Ministers, with the Premier, Ministers, senior government officials, Ministerial staff, and family members of the Assistant Ministers.
