Alcohol-related incidents have been keeping local police busy.

Kingaroy police were called to Memorial Park at 9:50pm on Friday after reports of a fight involving about 10 people. All left the area when police arrived.

Just after midnight, police were called to a Kingaroy hotel after a fight erupted between a man and a woman. No charges were laid.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, police were called to a Nanango hotel after a brawl erupted involving about 15 people. They dispersed before police arrived.

A 19-year-old man has been issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of causing wilful damage after he allegedly damaged a window in a Kingaroy hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A short time afterwards police were called to a disturbance at the Accident and Emergency section at Kingaroy Hospital.

Acting Snr Sgt Ron Reynolds, from Kingaroy Police, said an incident which occurred on Thursday afternoon was a timely reminder for people to be vigilant about their personal possessions.

A wallet left on a seat at a doctor’s surgery was stolen by a young boy. The boy later admitted to police that he had taken the wallet and apologised to the victim.

A 15-year-old boy was cautioned by police for shop-stealing after he stole an xBox and a black beanie from a store in Kingaroy Shoppingworld on Thursday.

Police are investigating vandalism which occurred in the toilet block at the Kingaroy Showgrounds. The damage was reported to police at 11:00am on Sunday.

Nanango police have arrested and charged a man with evading police after an incident in Nanango on 10:30pm on Friday. The man allegedly failed to stop when directed by police and sped off. His vehicle has been impounded.
