Artist projects from 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT7) will be coming to Kingaroy and Wondai art galleries later this year as part of the Kids’ APT7 On Tour program.

“The program lets children and families explore contemporary art through drawing, multimedia and interactive animation,” Arts Minister Ms Ros Bates said.

“I congratulate the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation for funding Kids’ APT7, including the On Tour program, and making art accessible to audiences of all ages across the State.”

Almost 160,000 people have visited the hugely popular APT7 exhibition in Brisbane.

“The APT7 exhibition is the only exhibition series of Australian, Asian and Pacific contemporary art in the world, presenting a unique educational opportunity,” Ms Bates said.

“I encourage all school students to visit APT7 and Kids’ APT7 to explore the wonders of art and culture for themselves and improve their understanding of contemporary art in our local Asia Pacific region.”
