The annual round of South Burnett Christmas carnivals continued at the weekend with Yarraman and Kumbia residents turning out in force to celebrate the festive season.
At Yarraman, the Christmas Carnival took over the Recreation Grounds in Margaret Street on Saturday afternoon.
There were stalls, hot food prepared by various community groups and live entertainment.
The ham and chicken wheel proved as popular as ever as did Santa, who took time out of his busy schedule to drop by and say g’day to the children.

At Kumbia, the 13th annual Kumbia Christmas Markets and Carnival were held in the grounds of the Kumbia Memorial Hall on Sunday evening.
Children enjoyed a jumping castle, merry-go-round, face painting and other amusements while adults browsed market stalls selling anything from hats to home-made jams and pickles or enjoyed the sausage sizzle and live musical entertainment.
Santa put in an appearance later in the evening – much to the delight of children – and after repeated washouts of the event in 2010, thirteen didn’t prove to be a bad omen after all: the weather was perfect throughout.
This year’s Carnival also marked the end of a very busy 12 months for the Kumbia Hall Committee members who played a major role in organising Kumbia’s year-long Centenary celebrations.
