It’s springtime and it seems that fetes are in the air …

Two South Burnett schools held their annual fetes at the weekend and both looked to be big successes.

At Murgon, St Joseph’s Catholic School held its annual school fete on Friday night.

Students from prep through to Year 7 had the opportunity of showing off their dancing skills to their parents.

There was also live music from Cherbourg band Muddy Flats, laser skirmish and plenty of hot food.

On Saturday, it was Tingoora State School’s turn.

The Tinny school had heaps of stalls for their market day plus a jumping castle.

Parents and friends were also invited to  inspect the classrooms and Corky from CROW-FM was keeping listeners updated on what was happening.

Tingoora State School will be holding a Health Expo and NAIDOC Day at the school on September 20.

Deidre Murray (Year 6), Billie Bradford (Year 6), Jacinda Wenck (Year 7) and teacher Mrs Karen Bishop were manning the plant stall at the Tingoora SS fete

Jade Biltoft (Year 3) was enjoying the jumping castle at Tingoora
