South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Murgon Music Muster
The third day of the annual 6-day Murgon Music Muster will get underway at the Murgon PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon today with breakfast, followed by walk-up artists and bush poets performing all day and - in the evening - a country dance featuring The Doghouse Band, along with a $5 per serve supper. There'll also be a licensed bar and canteen operating on site, and camping sites ($13 per person per night for powered sites or $10 pp/pn for unpowered sites) are available if you want to stay over. Entry fees for this year's Muster are $80 for a 4-day pass covering Thursday to Sunday or $10 today. You can find out more details about this year's event on the Murgon Music Muster website.
Tingoora Hall Public Consultation Meeting
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a Public Consultation Meeting to determine the future of Tingoora Hall at Tingoora State School in Main Street, Tingoora at 6:00pm this evening. This meeting is a follow-up to an initial meeting held in August last year to discuss future options for the building and all interested people are encouraged to attend.
Youth Cookery Lessons - Kingaroy
CTC Youth Services and TAFE Kingaroy will be running a free cookery course for young people aged 15 to 24 at Kingaroy TAFE in Geritz Road from 1:00pm to 3:00pm today. Over five weeks, the course teaches basic knife safety skills, how to prepare healthy meals on a budget and food and kitchen hygiene. South Burnett Toastmasters
South Burnett Toastmasters will be meeting in the Anzac Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 6:45pm (for a 7:00pm start) this evening. Toastmasters is a great way to learn how to speak in public and boost your self-confidence, and new members are always very welcome! Meetings are held on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month. Thursday Night Croquet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) from 6:30pm to around 8:30pm this evening. Table Tennis - Blackbutt

The Burnett Rockers will be running Rock & Roll Dance Classes at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street from 7:00pm until around 9:30pm tonight. The classes are designed for all ages and all levels - from absolute beginners to advanced dancers - all in a family-friendly, non-competitive atmosphere. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
