South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Dry Season Management Workshop - Kingaroy
BIEDO, the South Burnett Regional Council and the South Burnett Grazing Network will be co-hosting a workshop on dry season management at Kingaroy Town Hall's Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 12:30pm this morning. DAF officers Roger Sneath, Damien O'Sullivan and Craig Sanders will talk about cattle feeding options, climate and animal welfare issues, while a guest livestock agent will provide tips on marketing livestock under current conditions. Community Consultation - Murgon
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a community consultation meeting at McMahon's Park in Wrights Way, Murgon from 9:00am to 11:00am this morning to discuss plans to lease or transfer part of the park to Murgon's Independent Lifestyle Project so they can build units suitable for adults with disabilities on it - a vital facility that doesn't exist in Murgon at the moment. Community Consultation - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a community consultation meeting at Sir Charles Adermann Park in Ivy Street, Kingaroy from 2:30pm to 4:30pm this afternoon to discuss future use of the park, playground and amenities block, as well as road safety and parking issues. Note: A second meeting will also be held at the same place on Wednesday, November 22 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
South Burnett Rugby League AGM - Kingaroy
South Burnett Rugby League will be holding their Annual General Meeting at their offices at Shop 12/119 Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 5:30pm tonight, followed by a General Meeting. The club's executive and management committee positions are all up for re-election and all interested people are welcome to attend.
South Burnett Gem & Fossicking Club - Wondai
The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club will be holding their regular Wednesday meeting at their club's Wondai workshop in the old Wondai Railway Station at Coronation Park in the town's CBD from 5:30pm to around 8:00pm tonight. The club embraces all aspects of lapidary (including gem hunting and cutting) and meets every Monday and Thursday in Kingaroy, with Wednesday workshops in Wondai for faceting and silverwork. Tuesday Touch Footy - Blackbutt
Blackbutt's weekly touch footy competition for juniors and seniors will be played at Blackbutt's football oval in Railway Street tonight. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, nor is it allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Self Defence & Fitness Class - Kingaroy
CTC Youth Services are running a free one hour self defence and fitness class for young women aged 15 to 24 at the Karate For Kids gym at Unit 11, 27-31 Pound Street in Kingaroy between 6:00pm and 7:00pm every Tuesday night.
