Annual Christmas Remembrance Service - Kingaroy

Virgo Funerals will be holding their 11th annual Christmas Remembrance Service at their chapel in the South Burnett Crematorium at Pioneer Avenue, Kingaroy (opposite Taabinga Cemetery) at 6:30pm this evening. This year's non-denominational service will be officiated by a minister from the Kingaroy Ministers Fraternal and will be followed by refreshments in the chapel's gardens afterwards. The purpose of the service is to allow people to remember and commemorate a loved one who's passed away and there's no charge to attend - but an RSVP to help plan the catering would be greatly appreciated. Nanango Probus Club Meeting

Nanango's Probus Club will be holding their monthly meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Fitzroy Street, Nanango (just across the road from IGA) from 9:30am to 11:30am this morning. The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month except January, and all meetings usually feature a guest speaker who talks on an interesting topic. Coffee With A Cop - Kingaroy

Kingaroy police will be holding an informal "Coffee With A Cop" session at Muffin Break inside Kingaroy Shoppingworld from 10:00am to around 11:30am this morning. The session is a great chance to meet local police in an informal setting, ask them any questions you like and share any concerns you might have, as well as have a coffee and a muffin with them. This is the fourth session of its kind since the concept was introduced by Kingaroy OIC Snr Sgt David Tierney and the initiative has been very well received. Everyone is welcome.

Wondai's annual Community Christmas Carols will be held at the Wondai RSL in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 6:00pm this evening. As usual, the event will feature performances by the Wondai CWA and Community Choir as well as the Wondai Senior Citizens Choir and the Wondai Town & District Band, and Wondai Lions will be running a $2 sausage sizzle if you feel like a snack. The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its final monthly general meeting for 2019 at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
