Wondai Spring Garden Expo
The first day of the Wondai Spring Garden Expo will be held at the Wondai Sports Grounds off the Bunya Highway from 8:00am to 4:30pm today (the Expo will also be running at the same venue from 8:00am to 1:00pm tomorrow). As is always the case with these very popular Garden Expos, keen gardeners will be able to enjoy a wide display of plants, pots, fertilizers, outdoor products and much more from over 140 exhibitors in what's quite possibly the largest gardening display of its kind in south-east Queensland. There'll also be expert guest speakers; live entertainment in the grounds; a Horticultural Show and display; and lots of food and refreshment stands too. In addition, there'll be lucky spot prizes all weekend and a major multi-draw raffle, as well as the Official Opening at 1:00pm by a special guest. Entry fees are just $5.00 per person and young people under 15 who are accompanied by an adult are free. There's also plenty of free parking nearby. More details? Phone Helen on (07) 4168-9297 or email her. You can also get additional information on Wondai Garden Expo's website.

About 4:00pm, Archbishop Mark Coleridge will bless the Centenary plaque, after which the focus will shift to St Patrick’s School Hall at 4:30pm for a concert and the official launch “The Little Cathedral In The Bush” history book, which has been put together by local historian and parishioner Liz Caffery. The concert will be followed by wine and cheese and light refreshments, and everyone is welcome. You can also read more about the celebrations on our website.

The Wondai Kindergarten's BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts to early bargain hunters.
