KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its latest six-weekly Meet & Greet at the Kingaroy TAFE College in Geritz Road, Kingaroy at 6:45am this morning (meeting gets underway at 7:00am). This morning's Meet & Greet will include breakfast and the meeting will be addressed by a variety of speakers including Linchon Hawks from Swickers, Kristy Frahm from BIEDO, Carolyn Stone from AgForce SEQ and the Visit South Burnett local tourism organisation, Jenni Butler from TAFE Qld and South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell, who'll all be providing updates on their organisations. A $10 meeting fee applies to cover the cost of the breakfast but everyone is welcome, whether they're KCCI members or not. PS: To help plan the catering, an email RSVP to KCCI secretary Paula Greenwood by September 17 would be greatly appreciated.
Proston Over 50s Club
- The Proston Over 50s Club will be holding their regular third Tuesday of the month meeting and social at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am onwards today. The $2 admission fee includes morning tea and there'll be a communal lunch at around noon (bring along a plate to share). Members take part in various games, lucky door prizes and progressive raffles, and membership is just $5 per year, with bus trips are organised throughout the year. New members are always welcome! SBRC Roadshow - Blackbutt
- The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding the fourth of nine Roadshow meetings at the Blackbutt RSL at the corner of Douglas and Muir Streets, Blackbutt at 5:30pm (for a 6:00pm start) this evening. The Roadshow will update residents on what the Council has been doing since it was elected 18 months ago; current projects it's working on; and its new Economic Development Strategy, which aims to create 3000 new jobs in the region by 2020. The Blackbutt District Community Organisation will also update guests on their own projects. A BBQ dinner to help fundraise for a Blackbutt community group will be available for purchase, and everyone is welcome.
Tuesday Night Dance Class - Kumbia
- Dance classes will be held at the Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia from 7:30pm tonight. The classes are a great way to learn ballroom dancing classics like the Quick Step, Jazz Waltz, Swing Waltz, Evening Three Step and many more, and class fees are just $4. More details? Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
- Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Tuesday Morning Croquet - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 8:30am to 11:30am this morning. Tuesday Night Indoor Bowls - Wondai
- The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Three games of 12 ends are played, lasting up to three hours, and playing fees are $3.
