Kingaroy Speedway
The South Burnett Speedway will be back in action tonight at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy tonight with the annual Steven Wheeler Memorial meeting, named after a much-loved volunteer who died in a traffic crash. Tonight's meeting will feature the Production Sedans Queensland Title, Modified Sedans and juniors. There'll be canteen facilities operating on site, and campsites are available in the Showgrounds if you want to stay over. Gates will open at 2:00pm, there'll be a Grand Parade at 3:30pm and racing will start at 3:45pm and the excitement will continue until around 10:30pm tonight. Admission is $30 for adults, $20 for students (with ID) and aged or disability pensioners; or $85 for a family of two adults and two students (children 12 and under are free). Everyone is welcome!
Community Consultation - Kingaroy
- South Burnett Regional Council is inviting Kingaroy residents to meet with councillors and Council staff from 9:00am to 10:30am today to discuss the installation of new playground equipment in Apex Park in Kingaroy. Blackbutt Craft Fair
The Blackbutt & District Tourism and Heritage Association will be running their annual Craft Fair at Blackbutt's Memorial Hall in Bowman Road from 8:00am to 2:00pm today. The Craft Fair will have a huge range of hand-crafted items including jewellery, woodwork, baby clothes, embroidered, crocheted and knitted items and much more - just perfect for Christmas gifts! 9th Annual Swap Meet - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy and District Machinery Club will be hosting the 9th Annual Swap Meet at the club's grounds in Geoff Raph Drive near Kingaroy Airport from 6:00am this morning through until around 2:00pm this afternoon. The Swap Meet offers the opportunity to buy and sell all manner of had-to-get parts, tools and bits and pieces of machinery, and if you're into vintage tractors, trucks or steam engines it's heaven on a stick. Stall sites (10m x 6m) are just $20 with set-up on Friday, and overnight camping is available for $10 per site for stallholders who want to stay over. There'll also be food and drinks available on Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and again today from 5:00am to 12:00 noon. Admission is $5 per head (U16s are free) and if it's anything like previous Swap Meets, expect B-I-G crowds and lots of stands. To book a stall yourself, contact Janet on 0438-325-472.
Yarraman Country Markets
The new Yarraman Country Markets will be on from 8:00am to noon this morning at Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman. The markets - which include a fruit and vege stall - are held on the second Saturday of every month. Phone Joe 0459-638-282 to book a stall.
Old-Time Dance - Upper Yarraman
- A fun night of waltzes, barn dances and great country hospitality will be happening from 7:30pm tonight at the Upper Yarraman Farmers Hall, Palms Road, Upper Yarraman (doors open at 7:00pm). Nanango Campdraft
The second day of the three-day 2025 Nanango Campdraft will be held at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 5:30am this morning until late this afternoon. Today's events include Novice, Junior, Juvenile, Open and the Maiden 4 Maiden final. Admission to the campdraft is free for spectators. A licensed bar, canteen and meals will be open over the weekend plus a coffee van and an ice cream van.

Moo & Brew Festival - Kaimkillenbun
- Today is the main day of the 4th annual Moo & Brew Festival at the Bun Hotel, 72 Moffatt Street, Kaimkillenbun. South Burnett Cricket
The South Burnett Cricket Association senior and junior games will be played today at locations across the South Burnett. In Round 5 of the Senior competition, Saints v Murgon Diggers at Murgon Showgrounds; Wondai Wolves v Kingaroy Services at Wondai Cricket Ground; and Nanango Scorpions v Wooroolin Warriors at Alan Downie Sports Fields, Nanango. All South Burnett Senior games start at 12:30pm. In the Junior Stage 2 competition, Kingaroy Kookaburras will take on Nanango Purple 1 and Kingaroy Cobras will face Nanango Yellow 2. Both games will be played at Murgon Showgrounds. In Stage 3, Murgon v Kingaroy, also at Murgon Showgrounds. All junior games start at 8:00am. In the Dalby competition, Tingoora Vikings will play Quinalow at Tingoora Sportsground from noon.
