South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Honey Bee Festival - Hivesville
The Hivesville Progress Association will be holding the inaugural Honey Bee Festival from 10:00am to 3:00pm today at the Hivesville Sportsgrounds at 9 Edward Lane. There'll be market stalls, honey tasting, a chocolate wheel, food vans, music and activities for the kids, including a jumping castle. But "bee prepared" and bring cash as there's no ATMs on site and limited EFTPOS!
Songs From Stage & Screen - Yarraman
The Blackbutt Singers will be performing classic songs from stage and screen this afternoon at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street. Doors open at 1:30pm with the concert getting under way at 2:00pm. There'll be songs by Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein plus some old favourites such as "Moon River". Murgon Music Muster
It's back for 2025! Today is the final day of the six-day Murgon Music Muster at the Murgon PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon. Entry for today's Gospel session is free. You can find out more details about this year's event on the Murgon Music Muster website.
Community Share - Tablelands
The Tablelands and Surrounding Areas Community Share is happening from 9:00am today at Kapernick Park, Crownthorpe Road, Tableland. Bring along pots, cuttings, plants, eggs, homemade chutney or whatever you have to share for free (and meet your neighbours!). The Tablelands Community Share is held on the first Sunday of every month.
Sunday Cricket - Kingaroy
Round 2 of the prestigious Goodchild Shield senior competition will get under way at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy at 9:00am today. The South Burnett Boars will be taking on Bundaberg.
Cooyar Trail Bike Ride
Today is Day 2 of the annual Cooyar Trail Bike Ride, a fundraiser for the Cooyar State School P&C, which will get under way at 8:00am at the Cooyar Showgrounds, 1 Cooyar-Rangemore Road. Nominations via Ridernet (NB. Numbers are capped). More info? Phone Shane on 0407-119-822.
Julia Bates - Linville

Proston Khanacross
Proston Car Rally Club will be holding Day 2 of their weekend-long Proston Khanacross at their race track today (the club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road). Racing will start at 9:30am and wrap up towards nightfall. Competitors come from all over Queensland and spectators are very welcome to watch the drivers pushing their vehicles to the limit! Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Archery Muster - Nanango
The Barambah Bowhunters and Field Archers Association will be holding Day 3 of their three-day Traditional Archery Australia National Muster at their archery range at Bow Hunters Road, off the D'Aguilar Highway (south of Nanango's CBD) today. Archers will be coming from all over Queensland to take part, and spectators are very welcome to watch from the clubhouse. The canteen will be open all days. Free camping is also available onsite. Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 3:30pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Sunday Afternoon Poker - Kingaroy

Linville Monthly Markets
The Linville Progress Association will be holding their monthly markets at Linville Community Hall from 7:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning. The markets have a great BBQ breakfast and lots of fresh produce, home-made foods, crafts and bric-a-brac and run on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome and potential new stallholders should contact the association by email
Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
