Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's Wondai Country Markets - held on the fourth Saturday of every month - will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The markets feature stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans. The BBQs will also be firing up from around 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts for early bargain hunters. New stallholders are always very welcome (stall fees range from $10 with power and water available, if needed), and you can obtain more details by phoning the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on (07) 4168-5926.
Community Consultation - Wondai
- South Burnett Regional Council is inviting Wondai residents to meet with councillors and Council staff from 6:00am to 9:00am today to discuss the playground redevelopment in Coronation Park. For further information, contact Council’s Facilities, Parks and NRM team on (07) 4189-9100.
Kingaroy Art Gallery Pop-Up Shop Viewing
The KAT Christmas Pop Up Shop will host a special viewing evening at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street (opposite the peanut silos) from 5:00pm tonight. The talented artisans and artists from the South Burnett will have their unique products on display and for sale, just in time for Christmas shopping! The pop-up shop will be open every day until noon on December 24. There'll be light refreshments refreshments available tonight, door prizes and lucky draws. Guests can celebrate the beginning of the festive season while supporting our local artists, and everyone is welcome! Entry is free.
Go Getta Girls - Kingaroy

Fingerlings Release - BP Dam
- The Bjelke-Petersen Dam Fish Management Committee will be releasing Bass fingerlings at 9:00am this morning at the main boat ramp at Bjelke-Petersen Dam. This is always a fun morning for children and everyone is invited to come on down an help with the release!
Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
BARDfest - Nanango
Nanango Theatre Company will be hosting an evening celebrating poetry at the Opera House, 1 Elk Street, Nanango, from 7:00pm tonight. Readers featured tonight will be Richard Ogden, Kath Duff, Rod Morgan and Janice Gallen. Tickets are $25 (or $20 concession or for NTC members) and can be booked online or by phoning 0427-124-044.

South Burnett Cricket
The South Burnett Cricket Association senior and junior games will be played today at locations across the South Burnett. In the Junior Stage 2 competition, Kingaroy Cobras will take on Kingaroy Kookaburras; and Nanango Scorpions 1 will face Murgon at Alan Downie Sports Fields, Nanango. In Stage 3, Murgon v Nanango, at Alan Downie Sportsfields, Nanango. All junior games start at 8:00am. In Round 7 of the Senior competition, Murgon Diggers v Kingaroy Services at Taabinga State School; Nanango Scorpions v Saints at Alan Downie Sports Fields, Nanango; and Wondai Wolves v Wooroolin Warriors at Wondai Cricket Ground. All South Burnett Senior games start at 12:30pm. In the Gympie A Grade competition, Wooroolin Warriors v Murgon Crusaders at Murgon Showgrounds (game starts at 12:30pm). In the Dalby competition, Tingoora Vikings will play Boundary Warriors at Tingoora Sportsground from noon.
Mr Q - Kingaroy
