The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their latest monthly exhibition for 2021 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm tonight. This month the gallery will be showcasing "Abstract Archaeologies" by Kingaroy visual art teacher Bronwyn Langford-Martoo in the front and rear galleries and "Hello Without Words" - a joint photographic exhibition by John Dalton, Hannah Depper and Bridget Barkle - in the main gallery. Meanwhile, children from Kingaroy's St John’s Lutheran School will exhibit their own works in Kidz Korner. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature hot and cold finger foods and punch, along with wine tastings from Kingsley Grove, live entertainment and lots of fun socialising. Admission is just $5 and everyone is welcome to attend. More details? Phone the Gallery on (07) 4168-5926. Note: After tonight's opening the exhibition will remain on show from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily until Saturday, March 27.
Community Plan Public Consulation - Mondure
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a public consultation meeting to develop a community plan for the Mondure area at Mondure's Rural Fire Brigade shed from 5:30pm to around 7:30pm this evening. The Council is currently preparing a Community Plan for the entire region covering the period 2021-26, and it wants residents in all South Burnett towns to suggest what projects are important to them so it can work on bringing them to fruition over the coming 5 years, if possible. All residents with an interest in improving Mondure and surrounds are very welcome. Note: Similar meetings will be held at Maidenwell (March 10); Durong (March 11); Kumbia (March 17); Wooroolin (March 18) and Memerambi (March 19).
